A Chilly Start to Something Sweet!

On December 15th, we joined friends Ethan and Dani at the Gaylord Rockies to explore Ice, an exhibit featuring The Polar Express. Surrounded by detailed ice sculptures and bundled in parkas, we wandered through frozen replicas of scenes from the movie and even braved a giant ice slide.

After an hour of frosty fun, we capped the evening with cinnamon pretzel rolls and hot chocolate. It was cold, a little chaotic, and unexpectedly perfect. It was also a chance to celebrate Ethan’s upcoming birthday. After the exhibit, we visited Izzy’s parents, where Ethan got to try his first Peruvian dish, seco con frijoles, what a day to be able to spend with close friends and delicious food.
